Had a great OJT last night, although I have to confess to finding it difficult not to slip into "classic" mode.
It was a "warm n friendly" contact because we are having mixed results with the connections developing through "Connect Life" and I wanted to encourage my trainees.
This gave me the opportunity to model - connecting - the questions - testimony and the gospel through to Jesus. I found it particularly good to model how the questions flow into the presentation because my trainees were a bit sceptical after I showed them the presentation on DVD. They found the DVD presentation to be a bit "wooden" and thought the questions were false and wouldn't work easily. Fortunately when they saw it in action they were suitably impressed. The couple we were visiting didn't even know when we had gone into the presentation until the question "how would an understanding of God affect their score".
So, looking forward to next week.
p.s. Does anyone know when the XEE website is going to be up and running?
We have resorted to an old tactic with OJT's - questionnaires.
I have slightly modified the original questionnaire to include the fulfilment questions. We have taken them out a couple of times now and they have helped us connect and engage with people.
I know this may be an odd question but is anyone else using this blog?
Hi John, I don't think so yet. But we have a strategic meeting with EE Europe today in Brussels, so I will mention this again. And of course, it is still only a small crowd fieldtesting XEE here in Europe.
About your questionnaire: I was thinking of doing the same thing. Questionnaires I still a perfect means to contact people: we saw 5 people come to Christ last week in Croatia where I was teaching a EE Clinic at the OM ship Logos II). Can you send me the questions that you have on your XEE questionnaire now? Thank you! Alex
Hi John! How are things going with XEE overthere? We seem to be the only ones using this web, but that is ok. What is your personal email? Alex info@eebenelux.org

If you have any good idea about OJT with XEE.... share it with all of us!

Hi John,
I checked this morning and found www.xeelife.com working.
Rod promised to tell us when www.xee.info will be online.

Alex
I have just amended the questionnaire we use in the UK to have the following questions.
1. Recent surveys suggest there is a rise in spiritual interest. Are you more interested in spiritual things than you were 5 years ago?
2. Do you ever pray
3. On a scale of 1 to 10 how fulfilling would you say your life is?
4. a. What would move you from an “x” to 10?
or (if a very high score)
b. What makes your life an “x”?
5. Would an understanding of God move you in either direction?
6.Do you know, if you were to die tonight that you would have eternal life?
It probably needs some refining but it does open up spiritual conversations.
Blessings
John
Thanks John, we will give it a try!
